Wine sales Sébastien Bénard Vigneron Les Alpins
La Buisse
Old grape varieties such as Verdesse, Etraire, Persan and Servanin.
The winemaking process complies with Organic Agriculture specifications, with a low-input approach (fermentation using indigenous yeasts and low doses of sulfites).
Going back to his Champagne origins, Sébastien Bénard set up as a winemaker in the commune of La Buisse in 2015. He now farms around 4 hectares of organically grown vines, spread around Voiron.
From the outset of his project, he wanted to contribute to highlighting the grape varieties and terroirs of Isère, true markers of identity. That's why he chose to plant 2 hectares of rare and forgotten grape varieties.
Alongside these recent plantings, he also cultivates older vines, most of which are around fifty years old, some even over a hundred years old!
His grapes enable him to produce wines with a resolutely Alpine identity. Drawing on the qualities of his different grape varieties, he offers blended wines, including the "Métisse" and "Les Compères" cuvées, which comply with Isère PGI specifications.
With his partner, Julie Bernadou, a beekeeper, he has opened a sales outlet on their farm, where you'll find all their products!
Open all year round on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.
