Tour des Fiz: Tour of 7 refuges in 4 days #intensive
Passy
Day 1: Departure Passy Plaine Joux towards Guébriant then Chalets de Charbonnière then Varan. From Varan, climb to Platé via Col de Barmerousse. Once at the refuge, continue towards Col du Colonney as far as Grandes Platières. Then head for Col de Platé and Col Pelouse. Descend the Combe de Gers to the Lac du Gers refuge. 8h30 walking, 19.5km, 1800EG, 1650EL.
Day 2: From the Lac de Gers refuge, head downhill towards Englène, passing through La Pépinière, Entre Deux Nants and the Cascade de Sabaudy. At Englène, cross Sixt-fer-à-Cheval to reach the Lignon, from where you'll start the climb to Grenairon. Return to the Refuge des Fonts. 8h30 walking, 21km, 1550EG, 1700EL.
Day 3: From the Refuge des Fonts, follow the signs for the Refuge Alfred Wills and then the Collet d'Anterne to reach the Vallon and Refuge de Sales. 5h30 walking, 13km, 1250EG, 750EL.
Day 4: From Sales, head for the Combe à l'Ours, then turn off at Les Laouchets to take the Col de la Portette to the Refuge de Platé. From here, descend to Praz Coutant via Les Egratz and join Plaine Joux via Guébriant. 4h25 walking, 10.5km, 650EG, 1150EL.

From November to May, the route is cleared. Snow may still be present in spring.
In winter, access to the Tour des Fiz is not recommended (high-level ski mountaineering only).
Accessible outside the snow season and depending on weather conditions. Please check with the Tourist Offices beforehand for current access conditions and the opening hours of refuges along the route.

Free access. There is no charge for the tour itself, only for accommodation and services (catering, accompaniment by a mountain professional). Bivouacs are authorized but regulated in nature reserves.
