11:40 am: start of the publicity caravan, route de la patinoire
1:40 pm: dummy start from Grand-Bornand Village, route de la patinoire
2 pm: actual start from Thônes
7 pm: finish of the stage at l'Alpe d'Huez

Entertainment in the Grand-Bornand Village start area :

- Entertainment in the start area by the official Tour de France announcer.
- Live broadcast of the entire stage on a giant screen.
- Official Tour de France shop.
- Fan zone and partner start village.
- Mountain bike trials demonstration in the fan zone.
- Podium signing at 12.30pm.

Traffic and parking:

- Along the route, road closure in both directions 45 minutes before the cyclists pass. Reopening after the broom wagon has passed.

- Access to Grand-Bornand from Annecy / Thônes and from St Pierre-en-Faucigny :
road closed from 1 pm to 2 pm from Grand-Bornand Village, route de la patinoire towards St Jean de Sixt and Thônes.

- Access to Grand-Bornand from Cluses / Col de la Colombière open via the Col de la Colombière road and the Chinaillon road then the Vallée du Bouchet road.

- Bus traffic disrupted from 1 pm to 2 pm.

Spectator parking :

Parking at Grand-Bornand Village route de la vallée du Bouchet gondola sectors and top of Tardevant car park.
