The small train museum of Dédé
Meyras
Following the visit of more than 1500 visitors during this summer, not counting those of autumn, Dédé l'Ardéchois has just completely redeveloped this memory space. The son of railwaymen, his passion for trains became a fight when, on April 1, 1988, the railway line linking the Rhone Valley to the Ardèche Cévenne shut down all traffic. For 8 years under the banner of VIADUC 07, he succeeded, surrounded by a hundred volunteers to save part of this railway heritage, through a subscription, and put on track the Tourist Train of Ardeche While creating at the same time the European Model Railroad Festival in Aubenas.
You will discover texts and photos taken from the book "The fabulous history of the railway in southern Ardèche", but also unpublished documents, the post office and philately, trains in model, models and a small twinkling on the Swiss railways, etc ... but also exchange a conversation with Dédé l'Ardéchois.
All year round between 2 pm and 5 pm.
On request.
Free to participate. On reservation. Free for bus drivers (groups), press, teachers, supervisors, guide guides.
