The Seiglières swamp
Isère ()
It gives way to a preserved and exceptional landscape to be discovered and, above all, learned about, the better to appreciate and respect it.
The flora and fauna are diverse: butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, toads and bats live side by side with marsh ferns.
For families, there are walking trails to discover this exceptional environment.
In autumn, it's also the ideal place for mushroom picking in the woods.
The "Auberge des Seiglières" restaurant lets you enjoy the mountain air on the terrace while dining after a walk.
The Seiglières marsh is part of the Espace Naturel Sensible (ENS) des Seiglières along with the marais chauds, with specific regulations (see details in the municipal by-law available to download).
- Prohibitions: fishing, swimming, skating in winter, vehicle traffic, garbage dumping, fires, plant picking, peat and topsoil extraction, camping, bivouacs and caravanning.
- Recommendations: paths reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders, respect for amphibians (particularly from March 15 to May 15 during migration and breeding periods) and dogs on leashes.
Respect amphibians on this protected site, especially from March 15th to May 15th during migration and breeding periods.
Sustainable tourismLike the winter sports, which is inseparable from the image of the Alpine mountains, the theme of water is a major issue for the Belledonne and Chamrousse massif. It is distinguished both by the great variety of its sites (lakes, waterfalls, marshes), places of tourist activities, and by a diversity of atmospheres, thanks in particular to a framework preserved on the environmental and landscape level.
