The secret world of bees

Description

You'll discover the remarkable organization of the honeybee colony, the link between bee and flower, the long journey of honey, the work of the beekeeper and also wild and solitary bees.

9.30am/10am: Welcome at the Nature Museum in GRUFFY. Contact exchange to adapt to the children's level of knowledge and expressed curiosity. Divided into 2 groups, each accompanied by an adult.

10h/12h: Group workshops: each group does half of the workshops // one half is done with the Museum's activity leader, and the other half is done "autonomously" by the group with the accompanying adult, following an educational booklet.
Workshops :
* Anatomy of the bee, insect characteristics
* The hive, the bees' home
* A well-organized society, roles and professions
* Bees and flowers: nectar, pollen and pollination.
* The work of the beekeeper.
* Candle-making
* Museum visit and animal photo rally

12h/13h or 13h30: Packed lunch.

1pm or 1:30pm/3:30pm: Workshops // each group does the other half of the workshops.

3:30/16pm: End of day: review and departure. Recall the new things we've learned, take stock of our experience together.

Set price group children: 450 €.

The price is €250 for a half-day and €450 for a full day.
For cycles 1, 1/2 day outing only.

Practical info: 1 toilet on site and 1 washbasin in the toilets.
