Description
Opened in 1984, the artothèque now has over 800 works by 450 artists. Its collection is expanded every year through purchases and donations. Subscribers can borrow prints, lithographs, photos, drawings and sculptures on an annual subscription basis. The art library brings members of the public into contact with contemporary works of art that they can take home with them. There is a wide choice of works, including works by artists who have been creating since the 1950s, such as Alechinsky, Aubanel, Ben, Calder, Delaunay, Di Rosa, Garouste and Lanskoy, as well as works by young local artists. There are other art libraries in France, including eight in the Rhône-Alpes region. Today's subscribers include individuals, associations, establishments linked to education, training and the medico-social sector, as well as administrative sites and companies.

on Wednesday between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. On Thursday and Friday between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 1.30 pm and 6 pm.
Tarifs
Pour les particuliers : 50 €/an pour l'emprunt d'une œuvre, à échanger tous les 2 mois (sur RDV).
L’artothèque offre un Pass "Mon musée" à chaque particulier inscrit (formule Adulte ou Enfant).
Celui-ci est valable un an et il est nominatif.

Pour les écoles, associations et administrations :
- 55 €/an pour l'emprunt de maximum 5 œuvres à la fois + 5 entrées gratuites non nominatives au musée ;
- 110€/an pour l'emprunt de maximum 10 œuvres à la fois + 10 entrées gratuites non nominatives au musée.
Pour les établissements scolaires : échange des œuvres tous les 3 mois (sur RDV).
Pour les associations et administrations : échange des œuvres tous les 2 mois (sur RDV).
Pour les entreprises et professions libérales :
- 80 €/an pour l'emprunt de maximum 5 œuvres, à échanger tous les 2 mois (sur RDV) + 5 entrées gratuites non nominatives au musée ;
- 150€/an pour l'emprunt de maximum 10 œuvres, à échanger tous les 2 mois (sur RDV) + 10 entrées gratuites non nominatives au musée.
Toutes les formules ci-dessus évoquées donnent droit à l'emprunt des ouvrages de la bibliothèque spécialisée du musée : jusqu'à 10 ouvrages à la fois.
