Taste Awakening Stay

Description

By learning about taste, children build their personality. This experience enables them to refine their perceptions, enrich their vocabulary, awaken their curiosity and enjoy everything that's good for them.

Awakening children's taste allows us to work on several essential disciplines:
Children better understand their bodies (natural sciences), they research the origin of products (geography) and above all find the words to express what they feel (French).

This stay is structured around 7 sessions of 1h.30 each:
1. the 5 senses and their role
2. the senses, the 4 fundamental flavors
3. language and flavors
4. taste and olfaction,
5. taste and sight
6. food attraction through touch,
7. taste and hearing,

A file will be given to the teacher before the trip, and the pupils will each leave with their "taste notebook" and a diploma from the Institut du Goût.

- The "taste class" participants are: a taste coordinator trained by the Conseil
Conseil national des Arts Culinaires and the Institut du Goût, a doctor, professionals from the food
a mountain leader for a special flora outing...
- A visit to the "Coopérative de la Vallée des Arves" (Beaufort cycle) is also planned,
- There will also be time for fun activities such as table tennis, badminton, archery and snow games.
