Sur les traces des Huguenots
, Place Abbé Magnet
Day1: Welcome at the Dieulefit Tourist Office where you will be given your route book and can drop off your luggage at the Maison Bourguillot (where you will spend your first night).
Then off you go by car to Poët-Laval (car park below the château). A visit to the ‘Musée du Protestantisme Dauphinois’ will allow you to see one of the rare protestant churches to have survived the wars of religion, concerning which there is a collection of artefacts: old bibles, handcuffs, a model of a convict galley and remarkable period seating. This is the starting point for the European walking route, In the footsteps of the Huguenots, which we will introduce you to.
And so we set out for a ‘getting your wind’ first leg of the Huguenot trail (6km, 1h30, 171m up and 164m down).
At the end of the afternoon, unwind with a massage and prepare yourself for tomorrow’s stage.
To round off the day, dine where you are staying or in a restaurant in Dieulefit .
Day 2 : after breakfast, set off on a long and attractive walk, at your own pace, to Bourdeaux (5h30 walking time, 15,5km, 681m up and 664m down)
We have provided a grandiose backdrop for a picnic: the church at Comps – a Romanesque edifice dating back to the 12th century, entirely renovated and listed as a historic monument. On arrival at Bourdeaux, you can settle into the Nuitées du Détour chambre d'hôtes where you will dine and spend the night.
Day three: after breakfast, car transfer back to Poët-Laval.
Variant route: return on a pedal assist electric bicycle or walk a third stage. Please consult us.
From 10/02 to 31/12/2024.
Subject to favorable weather.
Adult: from 311 €.
