This walking holiday, ‘5 musts de l'Ardèche’, is guided by a mountain leader who will take you on a discovery of the richness and diversity of a powerful territory where mountains, gorges, forests and rivers reveal themselves to you to thrill you with all their energies.

A highly varied and nuanced territory, you will appreciate 3 very different geological and natural entities.

The southern Ardèche, with its Mediterranean influences, reveals all the splendour of its canyons and caves in the Gorges de l'Ardèche National Nature Reserve. The history of the Chauvet cave, world-famous for its cave paintings dating back more than 36,000 years and a UNESCO World Heritage site, will not leave you indifferent.

The high Cévennes or Cévennes Ardéchoises reveal steeper slopes where schist and granite compete to serve as a base for the indispensable chestnut tree. Volcanic organ cascades, waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, natural pools, traditional stone hamlets, calades, pastoralism - everything here is in harmony with the surrounding nature.

And finally, the Montagne d'Ardèche, with its incredible volcanic history. On the eastern edge of the Massif Central, the Loire rises here at the foot of Mont Gerbier de Jonc, on a high plateau where numerous volcanoes have erupted. This is an authentic country with a mountain climate, shaped by farmers since the 12th century. Unforgettable panoramas and the unmissable in-situ art trail of the watershed await you.

Guillaume, your guide, invites you to share his passion for this country and its most secret and wild places. For the first 8 participants to register, the tour leader's minibus or the agency's minibus will be used to take you to the trailheads.

For you, it's an active and comfortable holiday, with guaranteed transport to the start of your hike, a swimming pool, a relaxation area and delicious dishes made with local produce to give you a taste of the Ardèche with all your senses!

In July and August, hikes can start earlier to avoid possible heat peaks on certain routes, particularly in the Ardèche gorges. You can also take advantage of the swimming pool to cool off when you return to your accommodation. For the mountain tours, we'll take advantage of the coolness of the altitude.
