Sonnerat Patricia et Emmanuel - Chalet d'alpage le Plan du Say
Vallon de Polset
If you're a nature lover looking for a quiet spot in a beautiful valley, you'll feel right at home here. In the summer, from around June 15 to July 15, summer sheep graze in the mountain pastures around the chalet.
The chalet is accessible by car in summer via a gravel road. It is not suitable for low-floor vehicles.
There are 2 parts: the gîte part in which you will be staying, and an adjoining private part.
The gîte has 3 bedrooms:
- one bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed
- one bedroom with 4 single beds
- one bedroom with 1 double bed
First floor:
- living room
- sanitary facilities (washbasins, 2 showers, 2 WCs)
Outside: 2 tables and benches, sunshade, 5 deckchairs
The chalet is not connected to the electricity grid, but is equipped with solar panels. So it's just the sunshine during the day that will give you the comfort of lighting in the evening, the ability to recharge a phone, use a fridge and have hot water (electrically-controlled gas water heater). For this reason, household appliances are very limited (no raclette machines, washing machines, electric coffee makers, etc.).
For heating, a wood-burning stove will provide comforting warmth on cool days and evenings in the main room (there is no heating in the "night" or sanitary areas).
There is no internet access in the chalet, nor TV. For cell phones, depending on the operator, you may be able to get a signal at the chalet (Orange operator), or for some other operators, you'll have to move to the hamlet of Polset.
No garbage collection on site (garbage cans to be taken down to the village of Saint André).
All year round.
