Sharing the mountain

Description

A day to discover nature in winter and understand how not to disturb wildlife during this harsh period for mountain animals.

9h30 :
- Welcome at Doucy-en-Bauges (change of location possible in the event of lack of snow), snowshoe equipment and departure for the walk.
- Presentation of the large fauna and its life in the mountains.
- What is disturbance?
- Search for and identify animal footprints.
- Workshop to measure the depth of the snow and the difficulty of movement for each species.
- ...not all winter animals are equal!

12pm: picnic

13h :
- Game simulating the presence of wildlife and winter recreationists.
- Highlighting possible disturbances and looking for solutions to co-use the mountain.
- Presentation of a tool to measure the vulnerability of species according to current climatic conditions.
- What if we tried to adapt our activities to better cohabitation?

4pm: snack and departure.
