Rocher de Turlande

Après le hameau La Borie

Vue dans les gorges de la Truyère
Bureau de Tourisme de Pierrefort
Description

This site is situated on a enourmous rose quartz rock and offers a panoramic view over the Truyère gorges.
The little chapel of Turlande dating from the 12th century was the castle chapel of Turlande castle, distroyed in the Hundred Years War and today completely disapeared.
You can see still the emplacement of the castle and its moat.

The roman Virgin who was originally venerated in the chapel was recently replaced by a copy.

The chapel is actually in renovation and closed.
The association "Les Amis de Turlande" is thankful for every donation to restaure the chapel.
