Restaurant Le Prieuré
Place des portes
The village of Sainte Croix En Jarez is steeped in history, beginning in 1274... You can read its story, written by Georges Comte. The restaurant’s history began a few years after the French Revolution. The property of the Religious Congregations was seized by the State, which sold it to the peasants. The priory was divided into lots and sold to local residents. Since that day, the restaurant "Le Prieuré" has had several names and owners. It was left to fall into disrepair in the early 1900s.
After 20 years working in catering in all its forms, Sylviane and Didier fell in love with Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez. They took over the Restaurant le Prieuré and the hotel, with its 3 rooms.
