Description

The Chablais mountains plunge suddenly into Lake Geneva, the border between Switzerland and France. Rising to 2,400 m, they offer superb hiking trails through alpine pastures, where you'll come across a breed of cow that wears sunglasses: the Abondance cow, whose milk is used to make a delicious cheese of the same name!
Several summits can be reached in a 2h or 2h30 hike, offering magnificent panoramic views of the lake and Mont-Blanc!
At the end of the afternoon, the Thonon-les-bains thermal baths open their doors to you for 2 hours of relaxation and fitness (optional).

Day 1 - Welcome from 4:00 pm at the hotel. After settling into your room, relax in the lounges before dinner.

Days 2 to 6 - Five hikes to choose from.

Mont Baron
A magnificent viewpoint (1566 meters), thanks to its central position on the Gavot plateau. This walk is a great way to discover the area. It's also an opportunity to observe a rich and varied flora.

The Memises ridge
An out-and-back itinerary that crosses the Mémises ridge. Sumptuous panorama of Lake Geneva. Starts in the forest, then follows the ridge line. Possibility of a loop in the valley.

Ascent: + 510 m Length: 8 km Time: 4 h 00

Mont de Grange
Hike through the Mont de Grange reserve in the Abondance valley to observe chamois, marmots and perhaps a golden eagle. We recommend setting off early to maximize your chances of spotting these animals. The place is wild and the slope steeper than on other days.

Mont Ouzon
From the Col du Corbier (1237 m), you cross the forest and then a particularly active mountain pasture, where you can buy Abondance cheese. You can continue on to the Pointe de Gemet (1741 m), whose summit offers panoramic views from Lake Geneva to Mont-Blanc.

Pointe de Pavis
Starting from the Alpage de Bise, a varied itinerary that passes over several passes and takes a pleasant tour from the shores of a lake to grassy ridges. A day in the Alpine pastures, with splendid panoramic views all along the way. Alpine mountain atmosphere, facing the famous Cornettes de Bise!

Chalets d'Oche
At the foot of the Dent d'Oche, the summit with the characteristic silhouette that is the emblem of the massif, a tour of the mountain pastures dominated by spectacular peaks! Objective: a mountain lake at 1750 m.

At the start of the season, some hikes are impassable or tricky due to the presence of névés.

RELAXING AFTER A HIKE

Free access to the hotel swimming pool and SPA:
Every evening on your return from a hike, you can enjoy the hotel's outdoor swimming pool and "relaxation" area, which includes a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi.

At the foot of the Alps, close to Switzerland and on the French side of Lake Geneva, Thonon-les-Bains harmoniously combines the benefits of the mountains with the pleasures of the sea. Thonon-les-Bains has been a spa resort for over a century, and today boasts a spa establishment set in a park of redwood, chestnut and cedar trees, just a stone's throw from the pedestrianized town center. The springs are bicarbonate and magnesium-bearing, cold, non-carbonated, low in mineral content and close to neutral.
4 "recovery" sessions between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., as follows:

Each day: Free access to the 600 m² Aquadétente area, open Monday to Saturday, where you'll find:
- A 150 m² panoramic pool of 32°C thermal water (overlooking the gardens), with 10 bubbling beds and seats and 4 swan necks. An immersion massage course is also available.
- A musical grotto where you can listen to music while lying in the water with your ears immersed.
- An 8-seater sauna.
- A 10-seat steam room.
- A cold water well at 8°C.
- An ice fountain,
- A course of 4 experience showers.

Two individual treatments available from Monday to Friday:
1 Thermal rain massage (20')
Massage performed by a spa therapist under a gentle shower of thermal water. It has many beneficial effects: relaxation, loosening of muscles and tissues, elimination of muscular toxins, relaxation and improved circulation.
1 "Body balance" massage (30')
Modelling using the benefits of massage oil collected by melting a candle in the room. In addition to the relaxing effect of the massage, a delicate scent is created in the room, depending on the fragrance used, making it a pleasant experience.

The spa is closed on Sundays and public holidays - individual treatments are not available on Saturdays.
