Pouillat is a charming village that seems to sit peacefully in a bucolic setting. The village's small rural heritage is full of stories. Listen to its inhabitants tell you all about it: the history of Château Carron (a bourgeois house), the washhouses, the fountains, the communal oven, the old vicarage. The 16th-century chapel of St-Jean-Baptise and the Gothic church surrounded by its cemetery are open to visitors. Along the way, a beautiful mission cross. Reservations required.
