Bye-bye metro, here you can travel by chairlift or ski to reach two valleys, and the cliffs are the backdrop for memorable abseiling descents!
Five years after its last "ski" edition, Pop In the City returns to the mountains in winter. And it's Samoëns, the most beautiful village in Haute-Savoie, which will be hosting the event!
The date is set for Saturday, March 29, with 500 participants ready to (re)discover the resort, its history, its heritage, its ski slopes, its authentic village and its off-the-beaten-track culture.
As always at Pop In the City, discovery means meeting the locals. And let's not forget the fun!
On the program? Unforgettable challenges that will enable participants to discover Samoëns from a totally unusual and unexpected angle: make your own cheese, hurtle down the slopes in a swimsuit, race in ski boots, dive into a Nordic bath, fly over the slopes in a zip-line... and many other surprises!
To build this unique event, the Pop In the City organizers are calling on local people to put forward initiatives, and are supported by the Samoëns Tourist Office.
What exactly is Pop In the City?
It's a women's race to discover a mountain town or village in a fun and original way.
Over the course of a whole day, in teams of two, some 300 participants set off to (re)discover a mountain resort using a roadbook packed with riddles. The aim? Complete as many challenges as possible before crossing the finish line.
These challenges (cultural, sporting, extreme, solidarity-based and artistic) enable the participants to discover the different facets of the mountain village, while experiencing tourism differently through authentic encounters.
At Pop In the City, it's strategy that counts, not sporting ability!
Through tourism discovery, this unifying event promotes women's sports, audacity and empowerment.

Saturday, Pop In the City day:
- 7.15am - 8.15am: Breakfast and number collection
- 8.15am: Warm-up, welcome speech and briefing, Place du Gros Tilleul
- 9am: Race start, Place du Gros Tilleul
- From 3pm: Partners' village under the Grenette, Place du Gros Tilleul
- 6.30pm: Prize-giving and closing speech, Place du Gros Tilleul
Course :
- 300 teams of 2
- 1 roadbook per team, containing riddles to discover the event locations

- 8h max race time
Throughout the day, you'll enjoy a series of unforgettable experiences as you attempt to complete as many challenges as possible.
After this intense, emotionally-charged day, you'll be free on Saturday evening. If you still have a bit of energy left, take advantage of it to celebrate with a last lap of the slopes on Sunday!
