Espace Découverte
Nestled in a Renaissance building adjacent to the Tourist Office, the Espace Découverte du Pays de L'Arbresle is a site with an innovative scenography. Browse the permanent and temporary exhibitions spread over 3 levels to rediscover our region (vineyards, landscapes, mines, quarries, geology, history of weaving, etc.).
Gourmet walks
Armed with your hiking map, take one of eleven self-guided gourmet walks all year round, at your own pace, and enjoy a tasty picnic of local produce during your lunch break. Several formulas are available: one-day or two-day packages. Whether you're a family member, a friend, a couple or a solo traveler, all you have to do is choose your walk and take advantage of the day to discover the region.
Discovery Wednesdays
From April to November, on Wednesdays during school vacations (all zones), guided tours, events and guided walks are offered. Whatever your age, this is your chance to discover the landscapes, nature, heritage and products of the Pays de L'Arbresle.
Picnic / Aperitif Tours
On Thursdays and Saturdays during the school vacations, from April to October, we offer guided tours in small groups to discover our remarkable heritage, followed by a gourmet aperitif or picnic of local produce.
Electric Sundays
Accompanied by Laurent Cherbonnel, mountain bike guide and instructor, discover the region on electrically-assisted mountain bikes from April to October. Numerous half-day and full-day rides are available. This is an activity for both amateurs and beginners, allowing you to explore the Pays de L'Arbresle without getting (too) tired!
Cycling area
Do you enjoy cycling through the countryside? Come and discover Pays de L'Arbresle's new cyclosport area. Comprising 11 cyclo loops certified by the French Cycling Federation, this cyclo area is accessible to all levels. GPX files of the circuits are available for free download. The circuits were created in partnership with the L'Arbresle (L'ECLA) and Sourcieux-les-Mines (Les Mines de Sourcieux) cycling clubs, and the St-germain-Nuelles mountain bike club (BSC St Germain Nuelles).
The mountain bike area
Fancy exploring the Pays de L'Arbresle by mountain bike? A network of 26 circuits certified by the French Cycling Federation's mountain-biking section is available throughout the region, whether you're a beginner or an accomplished sportsman.
Hiking trails
The Tourist Office offers a hiking trail starting from every village in the Pays de L'Arbresle, enough to complete 17 loops on your own! Need to get away for a day? Come and discover our hikes that will take you through the vineyards of the Pierres Dorées Beaujolais, the orchards of the Coteaux du Lyonnais, or the heart of the Crêts Boisés forest. Information sheets are available in PDF, GPX or paper format on request from the Tourist Office.
