Description

The principle of aquaponics is to take advantage of nutrient-rich water from fish farms to feed plants. This water is naturally purified by following the "nitrogen cycle": bacteria transform fish effluent into nutrients that can be assimilated by plants. Aquaponics, by combining aquaculture and hydroponics, is an integrated agricultural practice that produces quality food using natural means.
