Description

Over 350 mechanical and electro-mechanical typewriters, calculators, accountants and billers, including duplicators and early dictation machines, are on display. Some of the exhibits are quite remarkable, such as an 1878 typewriter, a Braille typewriter and a Chinese typewriter with 3,000 Mandarin characters. An opportunity to discover the technical progress made from the 19th century to the 1990s, when micro-computing put an end to mechanography. Visitors can use some of the machines.

Group tours for 4 people or more, every day except Sundays and public holidays. Please register with the Bourg-en-Bresse Destination Tourist Office.
