The MB RACE has been in existence since 2010. This demanding and breathtaking mountain bike race takes place in the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc area (Combloux, Megève, La Giettaz, Cordon, Sallanches). It stands out in the panorama of mountain biking because it is the only one that has such a long-distance one-day event: 140 km with 7000 meters of positive altitude difference. A race that counted only 1 finisher out of 600 riders in 2010, which earned it the toughest racing label in the world.
The event remains OPEN TO ALL with its 9 events offered.
On the agenda for the 2024 edition:
* MB Ultra Somfy: 70 km | 100 km | 140 km
A race now mythical on the trails of the Mont Blanc country. After a common start, the riders will be able to decide in due time if they want to stop or continue until the final distance and thus join the Finisher circle of the most difficult mountain bike race in the world.
* MB Explore: 20 km | 35 km | 55 km
In 2024, the MB Explore has been reinvented to allow all mountain bike enthusiasts to take on their first 100% MB Race challenge. You'll be able to choose between three distances: 20, 35 or 55 km with 800m, 1500m and 2200 m of D+ respectively. The first 20km section, open to cadets and above, will take you from Combloux to the Mont d'Arbois. At this point, you'll have the choice of stopping or continuing for a further 15 or 35 km. The 35km will take you to the well-known Le Jaillet sector, while the 55km is completely new and promises to be a magnificent mountain biking experience!
* MB E-rando - ATMB discovery: 15km
A brand new trail for electrically-assisted mountain bikes, designed to be very accessible, with a 15km route and most of it on gravel tracks, but always facing Mont Blanc. This ride is open to children aged 10 and over, so you can bring the whole family!
* MB E-rando sportive ATMB: 20km | 40km
With its focus on the future of cycling, the MB Race is also a great way to discover its mountain bike trails. A format that's sure to delight fans of beautiful routes. Refreshments in local colours and festive entertainment.
* MB FTT: 20km
Because we want to share our passion for cycling with as many people as possible, in 2023 we launched the MB FTT in collaboration with the Comité Handisport de Haute Savoie and Loisirs Assis Evasion. This ride is aimed at people with reduced mobility who use electric all-terrain wheelchairs, and covers a distance of 20km and 800m of climbing. * MB Enduro: 5 Special
The MB Enduro continues its way in 2023 and gives you an appointment in Megève! It retains its one-day format and on-sight piloting – no recce, an old-fashioned enduro appreciated by its loyal drivers. The MB Enduro has seduced for years by the quality of its tracks but also thanks to its friendly and festive atmosphere with on the program: 5 specials chrono, a Diots Party, friends, an exceptional setting and good foam at the finish to end a good day of riding and fun facing the roof of Europe.
* MB FTT
In 2023, we offer a new addition to the MB Race program with the arrival of the MB FTT in electric touring mode! In collaboration with the Comité Handisport de Haute Savoie et Loisirs Assis Evasion, a 20 km and 8o0 m D+ course is offered to people with disabilities. The goal is to promote this discipline and allow as many people as possible to participate in the MTB festival that is the MB Race!
* MB E-rando: 20km | 45km
Driven by the future of cycling, the MB Race also knows how to discover its hiking trails on mountain biking. A format that will delight lovers of beautiful routes. Food in the colors of the soil and festive entertainment.
* MB Kids
The MB Kids is the MB Race reserved for little champions aged between 7 and 14! These budding future champions will be the MB Finishers of tomorrow!
* MB Draisienne
The MB Draisienne is the race for the little ones, and a great way to get started in the MB Race. For children aged 2 to 6, this pedal-less, wheel-less bike is the perfect way to learn balance, and to progress much more quickly on 2 wheels while having maximum fun!
* MTB Alpine Cup
Taking part in the MTB Alpine Cup is all about pushing your limits further and further! With more than 436 km and 17,000 m of D+ accumulated over the 4 events, the MTB Alpine Cup is a challenge ‘out of this world’.
* MB Enduro :
This year, the MB Enduro is cancelled due to the Enduro World Cup in Combloux. More information on the dedicated page in the ‘Highlights’ section of the www.combloux.com website.
