Mandet Museum
Riom
Established in 1866, the Mandet museum is housed in two former private mansions dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. These two buildings contain around 6,000 items, paintings, sculptures and artworks, dating from antiquity to the 21st century. On the ground floor of the first building, which was restored in 2011, is the contemporary decorative design and arts department, comprising contemporary silverwork, ceramics and glasswork, from 1950 to the present day. In a decidedly contemporary setting, you will find works by artists and designers of worldwide repute, including Ettore Sottsass, Andrea Branzi, Jean Nouvel, Goudji, Gagnère « Aulenti and Olivier Gagnère.
