L'alpage du Retord

Description

If you are motivated, you can go further and walk for 3 hours (10.4 km). When you reach the Tumet, you can also do a two-way trip following the GTJ in order to go to the lookout of Crêt du Nu and benefit from a breathtaking view (plus 1h30).

1. From the car park, take the direction of "Ferme de Retord" by a wide path leading to a small chalet.

2. From the chalet, leave the GR9 / GTJ on the left to continue straight south through Pra Devant until Charnay

3. At Charnay, either you join point 4 by the GRP on the right, the wide forest path which goes up in the wood, crosses a small pass and joins directly the farm of Retord. Either you can continue straight on the GR9 which leads to the crêt du Nu viewpoint, then make a round trip to continue the loop towards the Retord farm. (count 2 hours more)

4. From the Retord farm, return by the GRP which goes north, passes in front of the Platière and ends at the Col de Cuvéry chalet. Return to the car park by taking the D101 road on the right.
