Begin by car in the direction of the Ball Trap (4km) and park nearby.
Follow the signs to Christomet until you reach Mont Platard along a pleasant and wide path, then go down through the woods and pastures. Just before reaching the Mont Platard, a rather steeper descent, take the path immediately on your right, still following the Christomet direction. This part of the path is steep until you reach Covagnet. Then it becomes gentler until meeting the arrival point of the Christomet chairlift, the highest point of the hike.
Continue the itinerary heading northwards by following the path on the ridge in the direction of Eperon, where you can admire the view over Croisse-Baulet. At the first intersection take the path lower down on the right in the direction of Megève via the Frasses, the path leading through open grasslands (Black Grouse zone) or follow the Black Grouse Trail in reverse that will take you to the Chalet des Frasses.
Return to the car in 20 minutes by following the tarmac road until you reach the Chalet du Christomet, or take the path on the left that brings you to the arrival point of the Jaillet cable car (restaurant), which will take you back down to Megève.

0 / Drive towards the Ball Trap (4km) from the foot of Le Jaillet. Park nearby.
1/ Follow the Christomet sign to Mont Platard on a pleasant, wide path.
2/ Descend through undergrowth and mountain pastures. Before reaching Mont Platard
3/ After a slightly steeper descent, immediately turn right onto the track still leading to Christomet. This part of the route is steep until you reach Covagnet.
4/ The path then becomes gentler to reach the top station of the Christomet chairlift at the highest point of the hike.
5/ Continue north along the ridge towards Eperon, where you can admire the view of Croisse-Baulet.
6/ At the first crossroads, turn right downhill towards Megève via Les Frasses, on a path through open grassland (home to black grouse).
7/ From here, follow the black grouse trail in reverse, which takes you back to the Chalet des Frasses and then to the Ball Trap parking lot.
8/ Return to your car in 20 minutes on the tarmac road to the Christomet chalet, or turn left onto the path leading to Jaillet Supérieur and take the cable car back down to Megève.
