Option 1: The Royal Monastery of Brou
In Bourg-en-Bresse, this masterpiece of flamboyant Gothic art shines as much for its intricate stonework as for the story of Marguerite of Austria at the dawn of the Renaissance. A wealth of decorations, sculptures, stained glass windows and monumental tombs of Marguerite of Austria, Philibert le Beau and his mother Marguerite de Bourbon.
Option 2: The medieval town of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne
Let yourself be guided along the town's flower-filled streets and discover the Gothic church of Saint-André, the 15th-century Halles, the former home of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, the Porte de Villars, typical half-timbered houses, flower-filled bridges and riverbanks.
