Gentle Survival Camp
Le Pontet
If you'd like to learn more about nature, use its resources, find your way around when you're lost, find out what you can eat in the wild, fish, find and filter water, make wooden objects, start a fire, sleep in a makeshift shelter in the heart of the forest, scout-style.... then we've designed this holiday for you!
ACTIVITIES
With other young people your age, you'll experience a unique adventure in the heart of nature in a village of yurts; you'll get to know each other better and develop your team spirit; you'll also take part in everyday life, making meals...
This trip will enable you to complete a mini-trek (max. time per day 4 hours, max. ascent 500 m, distance 5 km) with no particular technical difficulty. The introductory survival activities are designed to help you acquire autonomy in the mountains, and will never put you in a situation of insecurity!
Find your bearings, take shelter, feed yourself, fish, make a fire, drink, identify flora and fauna, look after yourself, be creative...
Discover nature in a playful way, learn how to cope in a natural environment (gentle survival techniques), learn to better manage your emotions in the face of nature and get to know yourself better; rediscover team spirit.
Resourcefulness workshops: using a knife safely; knots; making wooden objects, huts and shelters; making a fire; finding and purifying water; making a "survival kit"...
Fauna/flora workshops: recognizing animal signs; identifying edible plants; understanding the environment...
Introduction to fishing: learn basic fishing techniques, from setting up a simple line (hook, sinker, cork...) to cleaning the fish before eating it - if we catch any, of course!
Orienteering games: find your position on a map using a compass or the natural elements. Our hikes and orienteering games are designed to put you in a playful situation.
2-day mini trek: two-day self-sufficient raid - everyone with their own backpack! The aim is to go beyond your limits, with a campfire and a night under the stars (conditions permitting).
Rope activity in the woods with your feet on the ground: setting up educational handrails on a secure, varied terrain in the woods. This is neither a mountaineering nor a climbing activity.
Cohesion games: Either we succeed together, or we fail together! Let's learn to make the most of each other's qualities.
Insect tasting: we'll offer you a little insect tasting so you can discover new tastes, if you're brave enough.
CATERING
During this stay, meals are prepared by the youngsters and the supervisory team. Menus are drawn up together according to the day's activities.
The well-equipped, fully-equipped kitchen enables all types of meals to be prepared: pancakes, cakes, pizzas... Trapper's meals around the fire and grilled meats are a regular feature.
As part of the program, youngsters can also help with the washing-up.
