From village to village

Description

Easily accessible, between the villages of Bellecombe and Doucy, a gentle valley covered in snow at an altitude of 1300 m allows you to discover snowshoeing in all its authenticity: we're not in a ski resort! Animal tracks, landscape interpretation, wildlife observation, rural heritage and old buildings punctuate this exhilarating and exotic hike via the Col du Golet de Doucy (1329 m).

9:30 am - Welcome by mountain guides at Bellecombe en Bauges and distribution of equipment. Introduction to snowshoe walking. Presentation of the Cœur des Bauges. Discovery of signs of life, tracks and other adaptations to life in winter.

Study of snow: formation, transformation and metamorphosis.

12 h - Packed lunch at Golet de Doucy (1329 m).

1 p.m. - Landscape reading on the west face of Trélod (x20 glasses, binoculars), chamois observation. Discovery of the mountain pasture.

Descent to the village of Doucy, with its typical Baujues farmhouses and grangettes.

4 pm - Snack and departure.
