A lively and accessible journey through World War II in France and Ain: guided tour of the exceptional collection of posters, everyday objects, uniforms, and testimonies that preserve the memory of this period.

Option 1: Guided tour of the Sylans Ice Houses
The Sylans Ice Houses sold ice extracted from Lake Sylans until 1917. Today, impressive remains have been adapted for visits. With your guide, travel back 140 years to one of the largest natural ice harvesting sites and discover the story of this remarkable industrial heritage.

Option 2: Guided tour of the Railway Museum
Meet passionate enthusiasts of local railway history in Ambérieu-en-Bugey. As you explore the 950 square meters of collections open to the public, you will relive the history connecting the railway to the city and be captivated by the volunteers who founded this museum to preserve the memory of this industrial heritage for future generations.
