Domaine de l'Obiou
Prébois
Domaine de l'Obiou is located in Prébois, on the south and south-west facing slopes overlooking the Ébron river. Since 2012, Samuel Delus has been reviving this partly forgotten vineyard, which now covers 2.4 hectares. Heir to traditional, artisanal know-how handed down from his family, Samuel Delus is restoring nobility to an atypical and promising terroir that he has largely replanted, and on which he is already producing red and white wines with fine personality.
Domaine de l'Obiou's vines are organically grown. During vinification and ageing, a natural process is favoured, giving the wine time to mature, and apart from a little sulphur, no yeast or other inputs are added.
The grape varieties chosen for the Domaine are diverse. Samuel Delus has planted both local varieties or those traditionally found in the Alps, such as Persan, Douce Noire, Onchette or Altesse, and more classic varieties such as Pinot noir, Gamay, Chardonnay or Viognier.
