The Domaine de la Dombes is located in the heart of the Dombes-Saone Lakes about 1 hour’s drive from Lyon close to the well renowned Parc des Oiseaux ornithological park.

Lovers of nature and the great outdoors are sure to be seduced by the demaine’s 30 hectares of parkland and be completely blown away by its totally cutting edge camping accommodations. These include cabins perched high in the trees that can accommodate between 2 to 6 guests and cabins floating on the domaine’s lake that can cater for 2 to 3 people. Additionally there are floating tents available for hire as well as lodges on dry land by the lakeshore and in the middle of the forest. For the real adventurous, there are the ‘Lov’nids’ which are suspended between the trees that can sleep 2 people (not suitable for children under 12). The Domaine de la Dombes also has 156 traditional shaded encampments available that can cater for camping cars as well as 14 mobile homes. There is also plenty to keep you occupied on the campsite with activities such as tennis, table tennis, mini-golf, archery, volleyball and boules. The domaine also has its own 3,000m² lake and sandy beach for the exclusive use of the domaine’s guests. Other facilities available include a mini-market at the campsite reception and a bar and restaurant with a delivery service available to your tent or caravan as well a wide range of entertainment organised by the domaine’s staff throughout the summer season that is sure to make your stay a memorable one.
