Discovering the mountain environment

Description

Join us in the heart of the Aravis massif and introduce your pupils to the many facets of the mountain environment. The mountains are rich, their ecosystems precious... This school trip will be an opportunity to make your class aware of the importance of caring for, respecting and loving nature!

The trip will take place in the heart of the Aravis massif, renowned for the charm of its villages and the beauty of its peaks.
Your students will hike and orienteer.
Your class will learn about the specific features of mountain heritage, not only in its natural dimension, but also culturally and economically: mountain trades, the history of the area, traditional housing, how mountain pastures work, local folklore...

This trip is in line with school curricula:
- Observe and study mountain fauna, in particular the ibex and chamois, emblematic deer of the Alps.
- Read a landscape and interpret the layering of vegetation.
- Recognize wild plants, their virtues and possible uses.
- Discover the forest and the life forms it shelters.
- Understand the seasonal nature of rural activities.
- Understand the notion of adaptation to environmental conditions.
- Raise questions about climate change and interactions between man and the mountains.

Compris : - Full board for 5 days (4 nights), from lunch on the day of arrival (or from snack or dinner depending on arrival time) to snack on the day of departure,
- 2 activity leaders per class (from 20 pupils per class),

- sports balls, outdoor games, board games and books/BDs,
- entertainment for daily activities and evening parties.
