Design me a video game

The game designers exist since milleniums. But, if for several decades, this sector has experienced a considerable growth, it is to video games that we owe it. This playful “revolution” is based on a discipline: game design.
Aesthetics, technology, game mechanics and storytelling, the essential elements of this art of fun are presented in this interactive exhibition in the form of questions: how has video game become a major mode of expression in the 21st century?
You will find works around 45 themes related to game design, 30 video games in demonstration and playable as well as an installation of the RANDOM laboratory of Esadse (art and design top university in Saint-Etienne) paying tribute to independent video games.
