Mountains are an ideal environment for tackling climate change in a very concrete way. Warming is twice as pronounced there as on the plains, and its impact is more rapid and visible, making it a veritable open-air scientific laboratory. Your students will experience the reality of climate change at first hand: glaciers are melting, plants are gaining altitude, water resources are scarce, natural hazards are increasing, etc. They will understand the need to take action to limit this phenomenon and adapt to its impacts.
