Château de Varennes
Quincié-en-Beaujolais
During a visit (on request), a member of the family or the winegrower will present the history of the castle in the courtyard and will make you taste his wines (red, white and rosé) in the vaulted cellars of the 16th century. century.
Lying in the Beaujolais-Villages appellation, the wine produced by our vineyard – traditionally a red one – is fruity and smooth. It is produced from gamay vines. As for the white wine, it is made of the chardonnay grape variety. Our wines are vinified in the castle storehouse. Part of the production is bottled and sold directly to our customers. A wine merchant distributes the rest in France and abroad.
In this authentic and family-friendly place, you can also enjoy various activities:
• Guided tour of the vineyards and the cellar, tasting, meal with reservation.
• Path of the 4 seasons: discover the activities of the vine by entertaining you with wooden games.
• Orienteering in the vineyards.
Its panoramic terrace, its Renaissance court and its 270 m2 reception rooms make it a unique place for a wedding, a family gathering, a professional offsite or a birthday.
