Description

A 19th-century residence of character overlooking the village of Villié-Morgon, it was once home to one of the children of the Lumière brothers, as well as Princess Lieven, née Chateaubriand.
The estate is run by Elodie Rousselot, who vinifies the 24 hectares of vines in a magnificent cellar that was completely renovated in 2009. More than just an estate, Château Bellevue is also a place to live and share, with its guest rooms and function rooms.
It is surrounded by one of the most beautiful parks in the region, where two-hundred-year-old trees and various species of flowers grow side by side throughout the year.
In 2024, Château Bellevue won the national prize awarded by the Revue du Vin de France for ‘Best Welcome in the Vineyards’.

Visit the cellar, the underground cellar & Tasting of 5 wines.
During your visit, you'll discover the unique cellar, combining tradition and cutting-edge equipment, which has been entirely designed for plot-by-plot selections. It's a fabulous tool for bringing out the nuances of the different terroirs.
You'll also visit the vaulted underground cellar and finish with a tasting of five of the estate's wines.
Weather permitting, the tasting will take place in the grounds of the Château, from where you can admire the exceptional panorama over the Saône valley, the Beaujolais region and sometimes even the Alps.

Visit the discovery trail on your own with the visit booklet & Tasting of 3 wines
Discover the grounds of the Château, which cover more than three hectares and are planted with rare species over a hundred years old.
The many trees from all over the world are numbered and presented in explanatory sheets in a booklet for self-guided tours.
You'll find the names of the trees engraved on the staves, pieces of oak wood that are assembled to form the walls of the barrels.
During your walk, you'll also be able to take in the many views of the emblematic landscapes of the Beaujolais region and sometimes even the Alps.

On the way back to the Château's vineyard, you can discover our wines during a tasting of 3 wines.
