Défi01 Live Escape Game is Ain's first life-size escape game, opened in 2015 in Bourg-en-Bresse.
The escape game is an innovative, entertaining experience that promotes team cohesion. You and your team are locked in a room and given a limited amount of time to complete your mission and regain your freedom. The room in question is full of enigmas, each more challenging than the last.
The various rooms on offer are :
1. Alice's Room:
What better theme to defy time than Wonderland? An escape game room with two completely different game variants. Enter a world where reality mixes with fantasy and create your own story! White Rabbit and Mad Hatter may guide you through your trials... But watch out for the Queen of Hearts! 2 routes available: "Alice in Wonderland" (white stickers) and "Alice through the looking glass" (black stickers).
2. The ephemeral room (originally "Le secret de Marguerite"):
In Défi01, there's a room that transforms several times a year to offer you different missions, so that loyal players always have new adventures to discover. The following ephemeral scenarios are currently on offer:
- "Murder in the restaurant": Solve a murder story in a famous restaurant. Find the culprit and get out before the time runs out. Not recommended for children under 10 (sensitive subjects).
- "Halloween scares": Go to a cemetery in the middle of the night, in search of the 3 artifacts of the famous monster hunter, Van Helsing. Find them in time and escape before you're lost forever. Beware, monsters and demons may pursue you during the game...
- Christmas elves": Santa's elves have disappeared! You'll have to replace them if you want the presents to arrive on December 25! Get into their cabin, tidy up the presents and get out before the clock runs out to prove to Santa that you're worthy of being real elves.
3. Adventure time:
Do you dream of living one of Indiana Jones' adventures? In this room, you'll follow in Indy's footsteps to try and find the Lost Ark. Arm yourself with courage, observation, agility and intuition. Remember, don't open that Ark! What if we did things differently this time? What if we opened it up and discovered other mysteries? Are you up for it?
4. Houdini's secrets:
Have you always loved magic tricks? Then the Houdini Room is for you! For one hour, you'll have to follow a scenario worthy of Houdini's acts to unravel his secret. Perspicacity, creativity and speed will be required to succeed. Immersive decor, optical illusions and magic mechanisms will give you an hour-long experience of a magician in action!
5. Zone 51:
Playing time 2h, possibility of playing the first one-hour mission and coming back to do the 2nd mission at another time. Teams of 2 to 12 players:
A top-secret research base on alien species has been silenced overnight by the government. We're certain that this base hides important information about the existence of a species that has not been referenced until now. Your mission during the first hour of the game is to use everything you find in the control room to unlock the doors to this laboratory. Beware, this laboratory has been placed under the strictest surveillance.
Once you've infiltrated the laboratory, you'll need to collect evidence of the tests carried out on the only captured alien of this species. Beware, the room reproduces the natural habitat of this alien species, so you only have a maximum of 60 minutes' oxygen. Use your cool, agility and speed to get out safely before time runs out. Remember, the world's top scientists and researchers are counting on you!
6. A witch's tale
In a faraway kingdom lived a healer who had the cure for all the world's diseases. Although immortal, the man was cursed by a witch and fell into a prolonged sleep, right up to the present day. Witches and court physicians tried everything they could, but nothing could rouse the man from his cursed sleep. However, legend has it that an enchanted potion exists. This potion is said to break all curses. Unfortunately, the recipe for this potion is now in the possession of the same evil woman who cursed the healer. It's also said that it's easy to get into his cabin, but once inside, people never go back, and no one can predict what's going on inside.
This type of leisure activity is ideal for spending a good, simple time with family or friends, celebrating a birthday, having a bachelor/bachelorette party or uniting a work group in a professional setting.

We can create puzzles for companies or organize off-site events with our large nomadic escape game. Team-building activities for groups of up to 100 people.
Our puzzles are accessible to families aged 8 and over, although younger children are always welcome. We offer one free place per team for children under 8. Under-age players must be accompanied and under the responsibility of accompanying adults.
