Located at 1400m in a sunny south facing position our chalet provides all the necessary comforts for your training holiday. You will increase your red blood cells and make the most of the sun. Welcome to the cyclists’ valley! The Maurienne is the largest cycling area in the world and the capital, St Jean de Maurienne, offers hundreds of kilometres of the most beautiful mountain passes in the alps. Our Chalet La Tuvière is ideally situated in the centre of this magnificent region, just above St Jean de Maurienne. After the daily ride, the road up to the chalet seems like nothing to the fittest cyclists, 10km and 750m of elevation. For those who have difficulty finding the energy we provide a transport service every day from the valley to the chalet.
Jarrier is near to several ski resorts. The nearest is Les Bottières where the car park is free and next to the lifts. (ski map). We are also 10km from La Toussuire which offers 310km of ski runs in the Sybelles ski area. Ski touring There are numerous possibilities for ski touring around the chalet: Le Grand Chatelard (2143m) (info skitour), the Col de Cressua (2065m) or Crêt Massuet (2173m). For other tours easily accessible from Jarrier, don’t hesitate to contact us. Snow shoeing Several sign posted paths leave from right near the chalet, pleasure and atmosphere guaranteed.
