Celti'Cimes - Irish music festival - 16th edition
Albiez-Montrond
This year, the Festival des Celti'Cimes returns for its 15th edition. The program is currently being drawn up.
In addition to the concerts, musicians from the various groups will be leading workshops in traditional instruments (flute, guitar, bouzouki, harp, fiddle, bodhran, accordion), singing, Irish tap dancing and set dancing.
These activities are complemented by introductory and advanced whistle courses, the traditional course for young musicians run by Sandrine and Damien, and a multi-instrument course to discover traditional music.
All this in the Alpine setting of Les Albiez, not forgetting sessions throughout the festival in the village's bars and restaurants during the day and evening.
For late-nighters, remember to take a light with you: the nights can be dark.
Enjoy the unique atmosphere of Irish sessions every evening in the village bars!
Sustainable tourismSince the first edition, sustainable development has been at the heart of the festival organization team's concerns.
More than 90% of the festival's cuisine is homemade, using local and/or organic produce. The beer served at the refreshment stand is regional and organic. Vegetarian meals are systematically offered.
Paper editions (notably the program) are kept to a minimum, and information is provided as electronically as possible.
An effort has also been made on festival merchandising, where promotional T-shirts and industrial screen-printed objects have been abandoned in favor of limited-edition wooden birdhouses.
From Saturday 26 July to Friday 1st of August.
TarifsFree to participate. Opening concert, folk ball, music and dance workshops and masterclasses for a fee.
For Wednesday and Friday concerts in the village square, participation by hat.
