A visit to the 2 caves takes us on a journey to the heart of prehistory and the subterranean world, with a splendid network of stalactites and stalagmites.
The archaeological museum traces the history of local human occupation from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. It exhibits the archaeological artefacts unearthed during excavations in and around Soyons: the extraordinary richness of the Soyons subsoil attests to human occupation from prehistoric times with Neanderthal man to the Middle Ages.
Introductory archaeological dig workshops for children (information on workshop dates available from the museum). Museum accredited as a "Musée de France", cave classified as a "Monument historique" and a "Natura 2000" "ENS" and "Vignobles et découvertes" site. For groups: open all year round on reservation.
From 01/04 to 30/06, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on May 1st.
From 01/07 to 31/08, daily between 10.30 am and 6.30 pm.
From 01/09 to 31/10, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
