Carrière de Roissiat à ciel ouvert

The Roissiat quarry was opened in the 1920s. Today, the site is operated by the Dannenmuller company and is part of the Revermont landscape. Here's a rare opportunity to understand the work of quarrymen: drilling, blasting, crushing and screening are all mechanized steps using XXL machines! How is the material then used? A fascinating visit in a fascinating environment. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a chamois... By appointment only.
