Description

Day 1:
Arrive at the Tain l'Hermitage - Tournon SNCF train station, then head for Wine & Ride (located at the Tain train station) to rent a bike and set off on a beautiful loop on the ViaRhôna. For lunch, treat yourself to a gourmet meal at Comptoir Porcelana, the restaurant of the Cité du Chocolat Valrhona, before extending the experience with an immersive tour of the Cité du Chocolat. At the end of the day, head to your accommodation for the night (10 mins walk between Wine & Ride and the Cité du Chocolat).

Day 2:
The next day, explore the sentier des Tours and the historic center of Tournon (approx. 1h walk). In case of bad weather, let yourself be surprised by the talent of local craftsmen. After a free lunch, immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Château-Musée de Tournon, then treat yourself to a sweet break at the Intense patisserie (world pastry champion). In the late afternoon, join Compagnie des Canotiers for a sunset cruise on the Rhône (weather permitting), before returning to your accommodation for the night.

Day 3:
On your last day, visit a leading Rhône Valley wine house and enjoy a tasting session. After a free lunch, end your stay by climbing the Hermitage hill, on foot, on a scooter, on a vineyard train or even in a combi, depending on what you feel like doing at the time (it takes 30 to 40 mins on foot to climb to the top from the town, with a difference in altitude of around 138m). Return. At the end of the day, return to the station and head for your region.
