Bonneval sur Arc
Savoie ()
Bonneval sur Arc is a member of the very closed association of the "most beautiful villages of France". It is a splendid assembly of carved stones and slate roofs.
Here, the value of skiing is not measured in kilometers of slopes, but in the quality of the snow (until spring), in the difference in altitude (1200m), in virgin slopes, in exceptional panoramas.
On the marvelous path of the Cirque des Evettes, the hamlet of l'Ecot hosted the shooting of Belle et Sébastien. Everywhere the mountain lends itself to immortal hikes.
By protecting their village, by giving priority to mountain agriculture and the development of milk (AOP Beaufort, Bleu de Bonneval), by promoting family tourism and multi-activity, the Bonnevalains have aimed high and true ! One of the two highest communes of the territory (1759-3642m) with Bessans, located under the highest road pass in France, the Iseran (2764m), has succeeded because it has set high standards for its tourism development!
But after the creation of the Vanoise National Park in 1963, at the initiative of the mayor of the time; after the restoration in 1971, a new challenge awaits the nugget of the territory. It is carried by "alarm bellwethers", convinced that the time has come to question themselves and to engage in a new cycle, marked by quality.
Bonneval sur Arc must be as good as Bonneval sur Arc and not let its guard down! This is the price to pay to remain the favorite resort of discrete people and to keep an original and enviable way of life.
