The via ferrata is nowadays a great success. This practice of Italian origin, which gave it its name, is a vestige of the First World War. In the "Dolomites" massif separating Italy and Austria, the Italians equipped the routes with cables and ladders to facilitate the passage of soldiers.
Near Samoëns, we propose you to discover the Via Ferrata du Mont.
