As the water flows
Le Châtelard
An easy field trip accessible to all primary school cycles. Direct contact with the aquatic environment and the river through fishing experience and observation will enable us to define the quality of the environment and the impact of human activities on it.
Playful fishing with simple observation of invertebrates will enable us to appreciate the quality of the watercourse observed. Refreshed by the Pissieu waterfall-resurgence, we'll then ask ourselves about the water's course.
9:30 am: Welcome at the LESCHERAINES leisure center. Departure for the discovery hike along the water. Along the way, in small working groups, study the states of water, water figures and its natural cycle.
11 a.m.: Practical study of a river. In small groups, physical measurements of the river, observation of the banks and the composition of the riverbed.
12pm: Packed picnic near a former 9th-century priory transformed into a swift during the Bauges metallurgy era.
1pm: In small groups, fun invertebrate fishing, identification, classification and determination of the water quality index. Restitution in class.
3pm: Visit to the Pissieu waterfall/resurgence. Reflection on the path of water: above, below...
