Bouchon Rouge
Lyon ème
Le Bouchon Rouge was opened by Monsieur Arbore on Rue des Trois Maries, in the heart of Vieux-Lyon (Old Lyon).
For the past 10 years, he has delighted passers-by, tourists, regulars and residents of Lyon's historic heart with traditional local dishes, famous cocktails and cuisine made with exceptional meat. After working at establishments such as Cour des Loges, where he was head barman, he managed the restaurant Maître Bœuf and was owner of the restaurant Aux Trois Maries. He raised the profile of these establishments by obtaining the 'Maître-Restaurateur' label, reflecting high standards and a focus on quality produce. He also managed Le Florian, one of the 100 best bars in the world.
For Monsieur Arbore, 'bouchon' means working with the best local produce to introduce diners to the pleasures of Lyon's gastronomic tradition. Red is the colour of beautiful cuts of meat sourced from responsible local producers. These cuts can be admired in the meat ageing cabinet, which reflects the establishment's authenticity and singularity.
This local bouchon, or traditional restaurant specialised in meat, welcomes diners in a setting designed by a well-known architect, with a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. With its 120 seats, it has the capacity to cater for all kinds of occasions, for families, friends or groups. The establishment is available for private hire.
