Originally built entirely of wood, you'll be charmed by their cosy, comfortable atmosphere.
Comprising a comfortable living room/kitchen area and a real bathroom with shower and washbasin, nothing is missing.
Upstairs, you'll find the sleeping area, just like a cabin in the woods! A sofa bed on the ground floor can be used as an extra bed if required.
These original accommodations are located within the Domaine de Mépillat campsite***, which offers a range of activities (heated swimming pool, inflatable structure, children's playground, fitness area, pétanque court, ping-pong tables...). On the terrace, you can also enjoy a drink, a bite to eat or one of the many ice creams prepared on site.
As the campsite is located in the quiet countryside of Saint-Nizier le Bouchoux, alongside a large fishing pond, you'll easily find a wide range of walks and bike rides accessible to all. Alternatively, thanks to its privileged location between the Bresse region of Burgundy and the foothills of the Jura, the campsite is the ideal starting point for visiting the many cultural and natural attractions in the surrounding area.
Sustainable tourism
The campsite respects the environment on a daily basis. For example, rainwater is recuperated for watering flowers and plants, the mulching method is used to mow the grass, enriching the soil and reducing waste, light bulbs are changed or replaced by low-energy LED lamps, and an educational garden is available to customers, featuring a composter for recycling a good deal of natural waste. What's more, since 2022, the campsite has been classified as an LPO refuge, enabling the development and protection of biodiversity.
