Description

The different races on the program for this new edition of the 6000D :

- The 6000D: 69km for 3400m (D+):
A mythical race and the first of its kind at the time, the 6000D remains a challenge for most Traileurs. It's no mean feat to climb from the apple trees to the Glacier! A positive altitude difference of 3400m for a total course of 69km. The route takes runners from the village of Aime in the valley to the summit of the Bellecôte Glacier at 3047m, passing through the high-altitude resorts of Grande Plagne before descending through the forest at Montchavin Les Coches and finishing along the Isère river. A high-flying, signposted route, 95% on paths and tracks.

- The 6000D Relay 3:
Since 2018, the 6000D has been open to as many people as possible and is now available as a 2-person relay to give access to this benchmark race in the world of trail running.
A mythical race and the first of its kind at the time, the 6000D remains a challenge for most trail runners. It's no mean feat to climb from apple trees to the Glacier! So, for the 2023 edition, we're proposing a 3-up relay race, with the baton passed at Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecôte.
4th edition of this 3-up challenge, accessible to all
A total course of 69km to be RUN BY 3.
The route takes runners from the valley village of Aime La Plagne to the summit of the Bellecôte Glacier at 3047m, passing through the high altitude resorts of Grande Plagne before descending through the forest at Montchavin les Côches and finishing along the Isère river. A high-flying, signposted route, 95% on paths and tracks.

- The 6D Marathon: 43km for 2100m (D+):
Individual challenge, accessible to all
If you're familiar with the Marathon on the flat and asphalt, come and discover it on trails and in the mountains. On the program: 43km and a positive vertical drop of 2100m. The route takes runners from the village of Aime in the valley to the Lac des Blanchets at 2363m, passing through the high-altitude resorts of Grande Plagne before descending through the forest at Montchavin les Côches and finishing along the Isère. This new route will update the original route of the Grande 6000D, with the 1st ascent using the 1st route from 1990. A high-flying, signposted route, 95% on paths and tracks.

- The 6D Lacs: 30km for 1500m (D+):
Starting and finishing in Plagne Bellecôte, this 30km trail with 1500m (D+) is less demanding than the 6000D.
This trail, which follows the 6000D, will branch off at Dérochoir to head towards Plan Bois (without going up to the glacier) and climb back up to Arpette to rejoin the 6000D trail, before descending to Plagne Bellecôte.

- La 6 Découverte: 11km for 600m (D+):
The 6 Découverte is a race designed for the general public (beginners, initiates, experienced runners and Cadets) to take part in the big 6000D weekend.
The course takes you through the high altitude resorts of Grande Plagne on footpaths.

Starting and finishing in Plagne Centre, this 11km trail has a 600 m (D+) gradient. You'll set off in the direction of Plagne Villages to reach Plagne Bellecôte.
Then take the pedestrian path up to Dou du Praz and down to Lac Vert, then up to Plagne Aime 2000 and back down to the finish in Plagne Centre.

- The 6D Bob: an unusual climb:
Based on the concept of a "hellish climb", riders take the legendary Olympic bobsleigh run from the bottom to the top, on an average gradient of 8.2% with a maximum of 14%!

- The 6D Kid's: from 500 to 3000 m :
The 6D Kid's is an event designed for children to take part in the big 6000D weekend.
On the Plagne Centre snow front, the 500m loops are completed once or several times, depending on age category.

- The 6D Adventure: Treasure hunt:
Discover the 6D Adventure, an activity for children and young teenagers (aged 6 to 16), to be enjoyed with the whole family or with an accompanying adult.
The principle is simple: solve the riddles hidden along the way.
This treasure hunt is open to all, and offers a fun way to discover Aime's heritage.

So don't wait any longer, young adventurers, and be the first to discover these coveted treasures!
