Description

In 1986, the Bourg-en-Bresse cattle fair moved to the Halle de la Chambière, making it France's leading cattle fair. Follow the history of fairs in Bourg-en-Bresse, then delve into the organization of today's fair: who runs the foirail? where do the animals come from? where do they go? What are the current market trends? What about health constraints? How does digital technology enter the farm? After a presentation in the auditorium, take a look out from the balcony onto the large, rustling hall, then walk down the aisles to get up close and personal with the animals, the "maquignons" and the breeders. An atmosphere not to be missed!

Finish off with a country-style meal at the foirail restaurant (tasting of local meats (beef), country terrine, bread and a glass of wine).
