La Nuit des Ours

Dreamlike wanderings and nocturnal artistic experiences in the heart of nature, discovering shows, sculptures or "Arts du Chemin" and original immersion experiences between forests, paths and groves.


La Nuit des Ours is an artistic and cultural event taking place in Vallorcine for the sixth consecutive summer.

The event is divided into different highlights:

- La Nuit des Ours (Bear Night): a dreamlike stroll through the countryside, guided by knowledge ambassadors, to admire 5 different shows (two dates this year: August 9 from 7:45pm to 12:30am and August 12, for the first time this year, a Nuit en Plein Jour (Night in Full Daylight) from 2pm to 7pm):

- Rester Vivant: a time for collective reflection devoted this year to the place between festival and ecology, to think about the concrete actions to be put in place to bring the ecological transition to life, including in our festivities (August 8, 1.30 pm to 7 pm).

- Workshops: 11 unique workshops, from yoga to mask-making, painting, oenology and dance - to discover new activities, practices and disciplines, and open up new worlds for the whole family (August 7 to 11).

- La Tournée des bistrots: a series of concerts at various venues in the valley (the Buvette du Glacier in Trient; the Maison du Lieutenant in Servoz; the Hotel du Buet in Vallorcine; the Auberge de jeunesse in Chamonix...) (August 6 to 12).

From Tuesday 6 to Monday 12 August 2024 between 12 pm and 11 pm.
