MC2 Maison de la Culture de Grenoble
Description

The MC2 purpose is mainly to assert itself as a key structure dedicated to artistic creation, production and diffusion with a national and international scope and to promote contemporary art as well. This unique type of venue allows the MC2 to be opened to all disciplines devoted to living art, regarding production and diffusion by providing spaces made available for artists and cultural activities. The residency of the Centre chorégraphique national de Grenoble directed by Jean-Claude Gallotta and the association with Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble headed by Marc Minkowski ensure a permanent artistic presence and creation within the MC2.

4 halls : Grand-Théâtre (1028 places), Petit-Théâtre (244 places), Auditorium (998 places), Salle René Rizzardo (from 470 to 1300 places with and without bleacher)
Number of areas dedicated specifically to creation and/or repetition : 2 dance spaces, 1 rehearsal studio, 1 creation space, 1 set workshop ; 1 costume workshop ; 1 studio recording

Average programming each year (performing arts) : 76 proposals / 237 performances
